Winter!
Winter has finally decided to make itself known. The high temperature in Madison tomorrow is supposed to be only 6 degrees F (-14 degrees C) and Friday we’ll be hit by 5 – 8″ of snow. When I looked at Lake Mendota yesterday there was still some open water with dozens of swans hanging out along the edge. If they’re smart they’ll be heading south by now. Only a few inches of snow covered the ground. That should change soon. The photo below is a view of the beautiful winter clouds over the lake late yesterday afternoon.
