A Walk Down the Strip

As often happens, I’ve fallen behind again in reviewing the photos that I’ve taken in the past few months. Last night I finally started taking a closer look at pictures I took in Las Vegas in early September. I was there to attend Photoshop World 2013. Two years ago I attended Photoshop World 2011 and wrote about the glitz and glitter of the city and about the models I photographed at the conference.  This time I also came back with photos of the city and the models at the conference.

I guess I’m a fairly simple guy because when I’m in Las Vegas I don’t gamble, or drink and party, or go out for fancy food.  But, despite having been there a half dozen times or more, I’m still fascinated by all of the wild and crazy buildings, lights, and activities that you can find on the strip.  So, when conference sessions were over for the day I would head up the strip to see what I might be able to capture in my camera.

There were new things to see, of course, but this year the weather was also a little more interesting.  Instead of intense sun and solid blue skies all day, clouds rolled in each afternoon and brought some rain.  It looked like outlying areas received some heavy showers but in the city the showers were light.  The clouds added a bit more interest and changed the lighting, which made for a great scene.

More of the photos from wandering the strip in Las Vegas are given in the gallery below.
