Birdwatchers know that this is the time of year when many of their feathered friends pass through on their southward migration. If you live in Madison, you probably know that this is the time of year when the flamingos return to Bascom Hill. I’m not sure where they’re migrating, probably Las Vegas, but it was good to see them gather again today on the hill.
In case you don’t know, this “Fill the Hill” event is part of the Wisconsin Alumni Association’s annual fundraiser. That means, of course, that it’s time for money to migrate from your wallet to the Alumni Association. You can, however, look at the flock for free. So, if you’re in town you might want to head down to campus to witness this posse of pink before it disappears.
